II. Internship Positions (while attending the United States Naval Academy):

  1. Summer Cruises: Destroyers out of Norfolk, VA, and Japan,
  2. Summer Cruise: Submarines (1 week), United States Marine Corp (2 weeks),

III. Executive and Management Positions:

  1. Weapons Officer, USS Joseph Strauss, DDG 16: Trained and served as the Weapons Officer on a Guided Missile Destroyer off Vietnam for six months as the DMZ Gun Ship (over 5,000 rounds fired in six months)—served in position for two years, home ported in Hawaii.
  2. Combat Information Center Officer, USS Joseph Strauss, DDG 16.
  3. Human Goals Coordinator, United States Naval Academy Complex (7 different Commands).

III. Military Education:

  1. Graduate, United States Naval Academy, 1968, Annapolis, MD, Engineering Degree.
  2. Trained as a Naval Aviator (13 months full time training, Carrier Qualified).
  3. Trained as a Vietnamese Naval Advisor (6 months full time training).
  4. DOD Human Goals Institute Graduate, Cape Kennedy (12 weeks of full time training).
  5. Navy Racial Awareness Facilitator Training Graduate, Memphis (4 weeks of full time training).
  6. Trained as an Air Intercept Controller (AIC-4 weeks of full time training).
  7. Trained in Anti-Submarine Warfare (4 weeks of full time training).
  8. Trained in Electronic Warfare (4 weeks of full time training).
